App Review help: statuses and email errors

Not every App Review problem is a guideline rejection. These guides cover review statuses and App Store Connect emails, from Apple's own documentation.

Waiting for Review: Waiting for Review taking too long

Waiting for Review means Apple has your submission and review has not started. Apple's stated goal is to review 90% of submissions in under 48 hours. If it is urgent, you can request an expedited review.

ITMS-91061: ITMS-91061 and ITMS-91053 privacy manifest errors

These come from App Store Connect after you upload a build, not from an App Review guideline. ITMS-91061: an SDK on Apple's list ships without its privacy manifest. ITMS-91053: code uses a required reason API without a declared reason.

Metadata Rejected: Metadata Rejected status

App Review did not accept your metadata, such as the description, screenshots, or URLs. Apple's steps: read the message, edit the metadata, and reply to App Review.
